Despite extensive research, development and testing of products
before they go into large-scale manufacture, occasionally some components
wear out quicker than expected or better materials become available
to extend their longevity. The quality control departments at the manufacturing
plants constantly monitor components and systems fitted to Subaru vehicles.
If a component is found to be of lower quality that specified, Subaru
will instigate a service campaign to rectify the issues of affected
vehicles. This usually consists of the manufacturer supplying new components
to the distributor who in turn provides service information to their
dealer network in regard to the installation.
How do I find out if my vehicle has any outstanding Service Campaigns?
Subaru of New Zealand will contact you by letter
if it is necessary to check a component on your Subaru. You would
then be instructed to make a booking at a Subaru Authorised Service
Centre to have your vehicle inspected. Alternatively, if you would
like to check if your vehicle has any outstanding service campaigns
that have not been completed, make an enquiry to our Subaru Service
Centres and quote your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and
they will be able to check on-line with our computer system if
your vehicle is in the affected range.
What is covered?
The service campaign will be carried out free of
charge for both New Zealand new and imported used vehicles. Labour
for the campaign will be covered along with the cost of the component
that is replaced.
Service Campaigns
If your vehicle falls into one or more of the service
campaigns listed on the right and has not been to a dealership
to be checked, then make contact with your nearest Authorised Subaru
Dealership to check your vehicle details. If necessary make a booking
to have your vehicle checked over by our factory trained technicians.
