Outback Technology

Bluetooth®1 hands-free technology lets you manage your phone and audio system both with your voice and controls on the steering wheel.

The Outback 2.5i has a large centre display with a touch LCD screen featuring audio, smart phone, driving and vehicle information using easy-to-understand graphics. Access to Bluetooth®1 is standard via a premium audio system with a range of simple touch and voice commands.
In addition to this, the 2.5i Premium model offers a new level of on-board infotainment with two USB ports centrally located in the front console as standard. The large 8” LCD touch screen displays satellite navigation with a fast, intuitive and easy to use interface.
In addition to the Outback 2.5i Premium infotainment system, the Outback 3.6R comes alive with a Harman Kardon® 12-speaker sound system including subwoofer and custom acoustics. All Premium models also feature Siri Capability.

Multi Information Display

A coloured Multi Information Display screen is strategically placed in the centre of the dual gauge instrument cluster displaying a range of colour-coded functions. By providing incoming call and navigation2 information directly in front of the driver both safety and convenience are increased, reducing the amount of time that the driver’s attention is diverted.

Satellite Navigation

The Outback 2.5i Premium, and Outback 3.6R come with a new, upgraded satellite navigation system4 as standard. An intuitive and easy to use map interface is displayed on a 8” touchscreen and can be navigated with pinch to zoom and swipe motions. The screen can be split to simultaneously display audio information and live traffic updates3 which help the driver to avoid delays. The satellite navigation unit works in conjunction with the rest of the vehicle by displaying turn by turn information on the Multi Information Display and suggesting nearby petrol stations when low fuel levels are detected.
